Tim Walter is a very interesting being. It has been a pleasure to get to know him over the last year so I decided to interview him for this page so you could know him a little better too.  He’s intriguing, intelligent, and very thoughtful in his execution of … well, everything.

So finally a new mix from a TFK resident! JD has been collecting music for this mix for months now and I must say he really came through in the mix. This is the best of the big room house right here. Covering all the hot producers and labels, it has a mean streak from here to next Tuesday…

One of LA’s finest here, dropping smooth tech house for this set… A relentless barrage of quality tracks she blends and weaves a tapestry you can imagine holding up a party at three in the morning.  I first heard her via an online mix competition that she ended up winning…

Noah Hyde is one of the first DJs I looked up to as a we young sprite.  This guy consistently delivers be it a rave, a bar, that house party… you get it.  He knows how to move a crowd, and he can rock many different genres.  I would describe this as electro tinged disco vibes, and honestly is a great one for those times when you need to go…

This mix is half Mike Balance half Eli Andrew….all crunk. These two guys are both amazing DJs and great friends so why not tag a mix set. Mike starts it off with some banging big room music, and Eli takes over to lay some Euro-lectro on ya (and yeah I made that up).  These two work together nicely!

This month I am really excited to share this absolutely wonderful DJ with you. I came across Steve Edwards when I was going to school in Phoenix. What set him apart for me was his amazing drive to share his music. If I need a fix of dirty tech house, I always know where to look for an exciting new mix.

Now that’s what I’m talking about, OG electro breaks. This is a classic mix that even after many revolutions maintains it’s clout.  Coby is one of those guys who will sit on a lump of charcoal for years then bam, a diamond. Classic music and flawless mixing, don’t let the year fool ya, this here is hot.

This mix comes to us courtesy of a man with a very hot hand, west coast house and techno producer Jaywood. Retro is composed completely of his own material, and described by him as “a look back at 12 years of being deep and dirty”. Retro is quite the journey, and oh what an lovely way to start off the featured mixes!

James Dean comes correct with his first TFK mix, bringing his newest obsession Electro to the forefront.  He’s been a champion of house music for a decade, and he is the one who taught me how to spin… He’s a dinosaur. Haha.. No but really, he’s an amazing DJ have a little dose of Electro already.

The first mix from Max Power for The Funky Kind comes with  a heavy dose of funky breaks.  Truly a champion of TFK Max always brings the noise.  This one starts off with some classic funky breaks, and leads you into deep and dark territory. Check out the tracklist after the jump.
