It's been a while since we've gotten a new Pat B. mix so I was really excited when I saw this one in my inbox. The title tells me we have a new series, and just going on the quality of the Listen To This mixes, we are all in for a treat. Let's all thank Pat for the wonderful iPod fodder now kiddies.

With this first release we start this endeavor with the aim of cultivating and creating something special, a collection of quality music, a vehicle for self expression, and I'm sure some great memories along the way. TFK 001 can be downloaded free on SoundCloud, all we ask is for some feedback. Yes the first rock is free folks...

It's about time for a tech house fix innit? This mix does not disappoint. Curtis Porter has that smooth mixing style I love, and he is very versatile. He can seamlessly weave a tapestry of sounds, then just sneak up on you and drop a bomb. He has the tools in his shed and he is not afraid to use them people. Everybody give it up for good DJs!

Oh... oh wow. Prepare your bass bins for a full frontal assault. The Glitch Mob serves up a deep dish of stompy wamp wamp here free for the taking. Press play and you'll be nodding your head no choice. Hope you look cool in action cause I can't help you there.

Here's what I know about Bucky Fargo... he is good at this DJ'ing thing, he has a dope radio show, he seems really nice and he answers his email. All great qualities! Now a little about this mix, this is Part 2 of a set at an after hours in a rundown warehouse on the south side of Chicago. November 15, 2008 to be exact.

The second mix in the series, and we have another instant classic. Pat Benolkin is literally one of the best DJs I know, and not to get all high and mighty... but that is saying something! Always a bastion of good taste Pat takes us on a journey into the deep. His selections speak louder with every transition...

Our first international DJ to grace the pages of TFK, I couldn't have imagined it better. I first heard her on Radio 1 almost a year ago now, and have been following her music since. Any electronic music lover knows it all comes back to one thing, and she has it... Infallible taste.

What he described to me as the first in a series, this mix is magnificent foreplay! Creeping through abstract bleeps, it gains momentum like a runaway freight train reaching a new level of energy right at the end. Pat B. definitely left me wanting more... so it's a good thing the next mix is already under way. Series work. Hot.

I've had this mix for almost a month now, unable to tear away from the insanity of life to get it up here to share... Notice the title... Anyway, it is well worth the wait. Mix Architekt delivers a smooth intriguing composition that surely brings the funk. Don't be shy, let him know what you think. And keep your eyes open for his original productions in the works. EDM at it's most intelligent, this is one to watch...

This month I am really excited to share this absolutely wonderful DJ with you. I came across Steve Edwards when I was going to school in Phoenix. What set him apart for me was his amazing drive to share his music. If I need a fix of dirty tech house, I always know where to look for an exciting new mix.
